Participants in the Brain Trauma Foundation Guidelines for the Management of Penetrating Traumatic Brain Injury (2nd Edition) underwent formal screening for conflicts of interest relevant to penetrating traumatic brain injury on three occasions. The first was at the outset of the project when prospective panelists were con-sidered for inclusion in the expert working group. The second was at the in-person meeting in Bethesda, MD in September of 2023. The final occasion was just in conjunction with final approval of the document prior to submission of the work for peer review. On the first two occasions a formal paper document was completed and signed by participants. Project leadership reviewed the responses and found that no relevant conflicts of interest existed. The other authors have no personal, financial, or institutional interest in any of the drugs, materials, or devices described in this publication.
